Reflecting
So, last year during my last class with Professor Foss I wasn't feeling well. I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. But also, with cancer. I finished out the quarter totally stressed, and began treatment in the summer, surgery and eventually, radiation therapy. I know am screened every 4 months. Blood and ultrasound. So far, looks good. I haven't been the luckiest, but I am also very lucky. It's weird. I think I will be alright, although, I have to be screened for a very long time. It takes 10 screenings before you are considered in remission. They told me about 4 years. I believe I am in remission, but I think of this every day. While I am doing homework. While I am sewing. While I am reading to my daughter, or taking a bath. Mortality is always right there. Yours is to, you know?
